Detective John Bainbridge is a cop on the edge. Former special forces in ‘Nam, he plays by his own rules, but his fellow officers in the LAPD love him because he gets results. After a successful drug bust, Bainbridge and his partner Geary find a young woman at the scene who has an advertisement from a newspaper among her things, promising jobs and a new life in America. A Jane Doe that was pulled out of the reservoir recently had that same ad, so there has to be a connection. With the help of intrepid young reporter Daphne Meriden, they dig deeper, uncovering a criminal conspiracy that goes all the way to the top. That doesn’t scare John Bainbridge though, it just means they’ll fall harder when he brings them all down.
